Rachel Ciavarella is a cross-disciplinary designer, prototyper, and technologist who creates unique interactive experiences at the boundaries of physical and digital worlds. Her work explores alternative ways of experiencing content and challenges existing conventions for the way we interact with and understand technology. She has a degree in Industrial Design and Physical Computing from Carnegie Mellon University.
When she’s not working in her studio, Rachel enjoys riding her bike (and sometimes falling off), discovering interesting music, taking care of her many plants, tinkering with electronics and late night botanical garden visits.
She previously had the honor of working at Midnight Commercial alongside the talented folks of Dark Matter Manufacturing (DaMM) and just finished her time as a member of Apple Inc.'s Human Interface Device prototyping team.
